By Jason Hovet PRAGUE (Reuters) – The Czech National Bank is likely to deliver another 50-basis-point interest rate cut next week, with a weaker crown and remaining price pressures tempering thoughts of quicker monetary easing, a Reuters poll showed on Friday. Recently I wrote about the new Robinhood Gold Card. It pays 3% cash back on all purchases, making it one of the most valuable rewards credit cards available today. As a member of Robinhood Gold, you also get a 3% match on all IRA contributions. For those that max out their IRA this year with $8,000 in contributions, Robinhood throws in an extra $240. Predictions abound for credit card interest rates in the coming months. Like many interest rates, it’s likely credit card interest rates will drop if the Fed starts cutting rates. Credit card APRs have risen steadily for the last 22 months, landing at 22.75% in November 2023, Federal Reserve data showed. Rising rates were largely attributed to the Fed’s frequent rate hikes throughout the year.Rates aren’t expected to drop by much, especially compared to how much they’ve increased in recent years. It’s never easy to admit you made a mistake, or ask for help fixing it — but doing both of those things once saved tech giant Nvidia from collapse, according to CEO and co-founder Jensen Huang.Nvidia is currently valued at more than $2.2 trillion, powered partially by the tech industry’s artificial intelligence boom and high demand for its computer chips. All over the world, and for centuries, people have thrown coins into fountains, wishing wells and rivers for good luck. It’s a tradition widely depicted in movies, ranging from Disney’s “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” to the 1954 film “Three Coins in the Fountain”; and in the lyrics of viral modern songs such as “Call Me Maybe.” Throwing coins into fountains is a practice many people have grown up seeing and a superstition many have participated in.
