By Chris Wack WeWork Inc. said Friday that its board of directors has adopted a plan that preserves the availability of the company’s net operating loss carryforwards and other tax attributes under the Internal Revenue Code and prevents a change of ownership. The office-sharing company said the plan would protect long-term stockholder value. The board’s move is related to transactions announced by WeWork on March 17 to deleverage its capital structure and bolster liquidity by restructuring its outstanding debt and raising additional capital, the company said. I’ve inherited a house in San Francisco from my aunt.My aunt had rented her basement to an older couple (probably illegally) for a few years for below market rates. I don’t believe there was a lease, and it is probably against the building code to have tenants in the basement. The couple’s family is living nearby.    I really prefer not to continue with the leasehold because I live out-of-state, and because of the tough rental laws in San Francisco.  What should I do if I don’t want to be a landlord? Can I just give them notice to terminate the…

By Saqib Iqbal Ahmed NEW YORK (Reuters) -The dollar rose to a five-day high against the Japanese yen on Monday as authorities’ efforts to rein in worries over the global banking system helped soothe investor nerves. The U.S. currency, however, clung to a narrow range against most major currencies as investors appeared hesitant to place big wagers in either direction as they sought clarity on the fallout from the recent collapse of two U.S. lenders and the rescue of Credit Suisse. “Feels like a market that is tired with overnight ranges very narrow and volumes very light,” said Brad Bechtel,…
