Voestalpine said it has appointed Gerald Mayer as its new chief financial officer.

He will assume the role of CFO from April 1 and have a three-year initial mandate, the Austrian steel company said Friday.

Mayer replaces Robert Ottel, who will leave the company at the end of March, Voestalpine said.

Mayer joins Voestalpine after serving as chief executive officer of AMAG Austria Metall since 2019. He had also previously served as that company’s chief financial officer.
